Watercolor painters may expand their art
The Berkeley Arts Council has arranged for nationally renown author and art instructor Tom Lynch to teach a short course in watercolor painting from July 10 to 13. A new program for this area, there are a few openings still available for the four-day session at the Holiday Inn. Online enrollment is recommended to insure a seat in the workshop.
Lynch wants his watercolor students to “Have something to think about, not just things to see.” Referred to as a premier watercolorist, he will guide students in developing techniques and their own intuitive approach during a workshop to be offered in Martinsburgthis summer. Painters who have good basics will appreciate the fresh approach and guided instruction.
Registration and complete information is available on the Berkeley Arts Council’s website: www.berkeleyartswv.org/workshops. The fee for the four-day workshop is $400. The Holiday Inn (304-267-5500) will offer a reduced rate for attendees. Email questions tojwhorst@aol.com, or call 304-262-1611
