Obituary–Moores

Elizabeth Fulk Hill Moores, Ph.D. “Libby,” 78, of Kearneysville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, in the Martinsburg City Hospital.

Born May 31, 1934, in Kearneysville, she was the daughter of the late Walter Hugh Hill and Nellie Fulk Hill. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was very special to all who knew her. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Shepherdstown, a teacher at West Springfield High School and retired from Fairfax County Schools in 1989.

Libby is survived by her husband, Billy Kaye Moores; two sons: Billy Moores, II, and Charles W. Moores, and wife Lisa, two grandchildren: Chelsea Kay and Charles Franklin, and two great grandchildren: Blaze and Haize, all, of Kearneysville.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Aug. 13, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Shepherdstown, with the Senator John Unger II officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
