‘Abstractions’ at The Bridge

The Bridge Gallery is opening its fall art season with an exhibit of non-representational work by gallery artists. An opening reception will take place Saturday, Sept. 8 from 6 -8 p.m. The gallery is pleased to announce the return of jazz pianist Bob Sykes for the event. Among the featured artists are Don Black and Sue Hamilton from Virginia, Shepherdstown residents Pat Donahoe and Fran Skiles, Gary Bergel from Charles Town and showing for the first time at the gallery will be new local resident artist Evan Boggess. The exhibit will run through Sept. 30. A ‘meet the artists’ discussion of the relevance of abstraction in contemporary art is planned for later in the exhibit.
