Shepherdstown resident Mike Murdock was the recent recipient of a “Telly” award for his editing work on Holiday Mail for Heroes,” a video production. The award was presented to Murdock at the American Red Cross headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Murdock has worked for over 25 years as a still photographer, videographer, editor, producer/director, and graphic artist. Based in Washington, D.C., and Shepherdstown, Murdock has been published in several national publications such as Time, Newsweek, People, Readers Digest, Broadcasting and Advertising Age. He covered stories of national and international interest at the White House, Capitol, State Department, and the Pentagon. He has also traveled throughout the U.S. doing feature stories for national and international news agencies.

Murdock began Blue Moon Productions in 1984.
