“The Venus Effect” Brings High Style to the Panhandle

By Staff | Oct 19, 2012

On Nov. 24, “The Venus Effect” will rock the house at the Clarion Hotel in Shepherdstown. Created by Fight4She to raise awareness and support for people who have lost their homes or suffered domestic violence, the event will benefit the Shenandoah Women’s Center in Martinsburg.

In a high energy, New York-style fashion show, 25 models will strut their stuff in head-to-toe creations donated by local designers, makeup artists and hair stylists. Music will be provided by DJ Ranch and a cash bar will be available to ensure that a fantastic time is had by all.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 or $8 if accompanied by a donation from the SWC wish list, which includes pre-paid phone cards, grocery cards and gift cards from Martin’s, Wal-Mart, Food Lion and Sheetz. The complete wish list is available on the Fight4She page on Facebook.

“The Venus Effect” is the brainchild of Fight4She Productions, a locally owned promotions team that brings an artistic approach to special events and seeks to create empowerment for women through personal transformation one woman at a time.
