The annual meeting of the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Grace Reformed UCC Church in Kearneysville on Rt. 480. All members of the Animal Welfare Society are invited to attend to learn more about the society that was established in 1952 to help the plight of homeless animals in the county, meet the board members and become active members of the AWS.

Don’t forget the United Way Campaign is underway. Donations will go directly to the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County when one designates AWS. AWS is holding a fall Rabies Clinic on Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Pet Photos with Santa on Nov. 18 1-4 p.m. with both events located at Tractor Supply in Charles Town.
