Pritchard Commemorative Art Exhibit set

The Washington Street Artists’ Cooperative, the Bridge Gallery and the Shepherdstown Friday Painters will host an exhibit and art sale at the Bridge Gallery, 8566 Shepherdstown Pike, Shepherdstown beginning with a reception on Friday, Nov. 2 from 5 7 p.m. and continuing through Sunday, Nov. 4 to honor the memory of Susan Ford Pritchard, who died this month after a hemorrhagic stroke. The public is invited to attend.
Proceeds from the sale will go to the Pritchard family to help defray medical expenses.
Work is being donated for the exhibit and sale by artists from all over the WV Eastern Panhandle region in recognition of Susan Pritchard’s efforts to support professional and emerging artists and create a community of artists in the area. Susan Pritchard launched the Washington Street Gallery in Charles Town, which served as the catalyst for the formation of the Washington Street Artists’ Cooperative.
The Washington Street Artists’ Cooperative gallery, showing juried work by local member artists and artisans, is located at 108 N. George Street in the heart of historic Charles Town, WV. The Co-op’s mission is to provide a space where artists and artisans in the West Virginia Panhandle region can create, teach and exhibit and to nurture an appreciation for art in the community.
Gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday, noon 5 p.m., 304-724-2090, wstreetgallery.com/.
