Animal Welfare Society annual Pet Photos with Santa scheduled

The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County will host their annual Pet Photos with Santa on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 1-3 p.m. at Tractor Supply Co. in Charles Town.

This is a great opportunity for family and pets to kick off the holiday season. Each 5 x 7 pose will cost only $10.For those who do not have a pet, children or family pictures can also be taken. These priceless photos are great for Christmas cards or gifts. All dogs must be on a leash, cats in cat carriers and vaccinations up to date. Bring one or bring all.

Enjoy Christmas shopping early for AWS merchandise. All proceeds to benefit the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County, a no-kill shelter located near the Jefferson County fairgrounds. The Society was incorporated in 1952 and has been operating a shelter since 1985. All animals that reside at the shelter have been relinquished or rescued from the tri-county area. Support this local shelter.

Don’t forget the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle Campaign is underway. Designate the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County through a regular donation or through CFC contribution so that AWS can receive United Way funds. The CFC designation number is #43359.
