Kay and Gene Bane, of Summit Point, proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Rose Bane to Richard H. Walls, Jr., son of Joy and Richard H. Walls, Sr., of Gerrardstown.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Jefferson High School and a 2009 graduate of Shepherd University with a Bachelors Degree in recreation and leisure studies. She is employed as an Activations Specialist at First Data.

The groom-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Musselman High School. He is employed as an Automotive Technician at Union Corner Auto & Truck Repair. An April 2013 wedding is planned.
