Obituary-Osbourn
Larry W. Osbourn, 69, of Shepherdstown, died on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at his residence, under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born Sept. 25, 1943, in Martinsburg, he was the son of Charles William Osbourn Jr. and the late Annabell (Demory) Osbourn.
Mr. Osbourn retired from Frontier Communications, formerly Citizens Telephone Company. He also retired from Jefferson County Board of Education in the maintenance department.
He attended Charles Town Baptist Church.
He was a graduate of Shepherdstown High School, class of 1962.
He was a member of National Rifle Association.
Mr. Osbourn served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam.
He is survived by his father, Charles William Osbourn Jr., of Shepherdstown; his wife, Linda (Willingham) Osbourn at home; daughters, Joy Osbourn Lewis and husband, Eric, of Shepherdstown, and Jennifer Osbourn Pownell and husband, Tim, of Shepherdstown; three grandchildren, Chandler Osbourn Lewis, Maclaine Joy Lewis, Zachary William Pownell; one sister, Nancy Sarra and husband, Terry, of Shepherstown; and one brother, Mark E. Osbourn and wife, Sharon, of Shepherdstown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of fishing and hunting buddies.
A celebration of Larry’s life was held on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at McMurran Farm, 161 McMurran Farm Lane, Shepherdstown. Interment was private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle Construction Campaign, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25403.
