Rolling Coyotes featured to First Friday Coffeehouse

By Staff | Jan 4, 2013

First Friday Coffeehouse will feature local favorites The Rolling Coyotes on Jan. 4. The venue is located at Trinity Orchard House on Route 45, four miles from the four-way stop in Shepherdstown. Doors open for social time and open sign-up at 7:30 p.m. All open mic participants should be there early to get a slot to perform two songs or eight minutes at one of the area’s premier listening rooms.

The Rolling Coyotes are a Jefferson County trio who have gained recognition for their unique compositions and eclectic blend of instruments and styles from swinging country to soulful ballads that tell stories of people from all walks of life. The group is fronted by award-winning songwriter and First Friday host, Steve Warner. His songs have been published in Nashville and recorded by various independent artists. Warner plays smooth rhythm on guitar and ukulele. Elliot Simon, an extraordinary musician and vocalist, contributes rollicking piano and tasteful accordion. Andy Mosholder is mello on cello and steady on electric bass.

The group’s latest CD, Train of Life, has garnered accolades from music critics and was nominated CD of the Year in 2011 by Indie Music Digest. According to that publication, “It’s a blast to listen to and a strong musical production from start to finish…highly original, extremely catchy and will lift your spirits with delightful wisdom.”

Enjoy a great evening of music and fellowship. Snacks and refreshments served. A $5 – $10 donation per person is requested. For more information, contact Steve Warner at 304-676-4422 or 304-876-2915.
