The Jefferson High School Band is proud to announce that one of its members, James Turner, has been selected to participate in the legendary All Star Invitational Marching Band.

The All Star Invitational Marching Band combines the skill of the country’s best marching band students with the excitement of performing in front of nearly 80,000 fans. The ASIMB will perform on the biggest stage in college football the BCS National Championship Game in Miami with the Miami Sound Machine on Monday, Jan. 7!

Turner is the first student from Jefferson High and Jefferson County to be selected for this prestigious band and the only student selected to represent the great state of West Virginia. He will be proudly marching in his new JHS Marching Band uniform.

After a vigorous application and audition process, Turner was one of the few selected out of thousands of applicants from around the country. His acceptance is a direct result of his talent, dedication and achievements, along with the direction and support of the JP Lynch, Jefferson band director.
