Obituary – Bond
Ollie D. “Nana” Bond, 90, of Ranson, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Berkeley Springs Rehab and Nursing, Berkeley Springs.
Born Jan. 28, 1922, in Shepherdstown, she was the daughter of Harry Stevens Domer and Irene (Schell) Domer.
Mrs. Bond retired after 18 years with Ranson Fruit as a trimmer.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Ollie is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Binkley, of Martinsburg, and Katherine Knotts and husband, Edward, of Shenandoah Junction; son, Jack L. Bond Jr., of Shenandoah Junction; grandchildren, Albert Newlin Jr., Brian Newlin, Shawn Plotner, Jacqueline Bond and Michelle Escobar; great- grandchildren, Tabatha and Logan; five great-great- grandchildren; and sister, Nellie Taylor, of Berkeley Springs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Bond Sr., who died July 1994; three grandchildren, Kenneth A. Plotner Jr., Victoria Mae Bond and Abigail L. Bond; six sisters, Lottie Rutherford, Elizabeth Dick, Annie Giffin, Dollie McDaniel, Florence Mauck and Virginia Moore; and two brothers, Charles Domer and Warren Domer.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, with Pastor Harold Newsome officiating. Interment was at Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.
