Recently, the Kiwanis Club of Shepherdstown honored three of its members with

the presentation of Hixson Fellowships. The awards represent a donation of $1,000 each to the Kiwanis International Foundation to assist with the international EliMiNaTe Project which aims to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus around the world. In the photos are Karl Wolf, recipient and charter member (L) and Calvin Whittington, club president; and Dr. Bernard Wayne Knott, Calvin Whittington, Margaret Walker, Sarah Walker (recipient along with her late husband John Walker) and sons Terry Walker and Michael Walker. All are club members.

The Kiwanis Club of Shepherdstown meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month at Christ Reformed Church on East German Street .
