Jillian Emilline Cobb and Jeremy Sean Zimmerman
Jillian Emilline Cobb and Jeremy Sean Zimmerman were united in marriage on Saturday Sept. 22, 2012 at the bride’s parents’ home, Broad View, in Shenandoah Junction. Jillian is the daughter of Alan and Leanne Cobb. Jeremy is the son of Jerry Zimmerman and the late Mary Ann Zimmerman, of Shepherdstown.
The 5 p.m. ceremony was held in Broad View’s peach orchard under a rustic timber frame gazebo and was officiated by Rev. Randall Tremba of Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory A-line silk gown finished with gold silk draped at the waist and gold silk buttons the entire length of the chapel train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of champagne and peach roses accented with wheat and cinnamon mini calla lilies.
The bride’s maids of honor were her sisters, Lottie Cobb and Lindsay Cobb. Bridesmaids were Alyson Zimmerman, sister of the groom; Maddie Humerick, Sidnie Stevens and Katie Germain, cousins of the bride; Marina Pipes and Emma Koonse, friends of the bride and groom. The attendants wore vintage inspired patterned dresses in fall colors and carried bouquets of wheat. Flower girls were Nellie Orrison, cousin of the bride, and Fielding Conway, goddaughter of the bride. The ring bearer was Christian Craft, cousin of the bride.
The groom’s best man was Chad Lowe, friend of the bride and groom. Groomsmen were Chris Stokes, Matthew Tiano, Tyler Hockman, John Pugh, Ben McCormick and Mathew Seidel, all friends of the bride and groom.
The reception was held in the circa 1860 bank barn at Broad View, surrounded by a field of sunflowers. The interior of the barn was decorated with burlap, wheat and sunflowers. Guest enjoyed an antipasto supper, home-brewed beverages, and a traditional Italian cookie buffet, and took home small jars of homemade peach jam as favors.
Both the bride and groom are 2006 graduates of Jefferson High School and 2010 graduates of West Virginia University. The bride is currently employed as an assistant manager for Enterprise Rent-a-Car. The groom is pursuing a Ph.D in Political Science at WVU and is the Wine Program Director for Sargasso of Morgantown Restaurant.
After a spring 2013 honeymoon, the couple will reside in Morgantown.
