Martinsburg photographer Rip Smith is offering a photography workshop entitled “The Why and How of the Photographic Project” for photographers who are looking for a way to improve their photographic skills and stretch their creativity. A photographic project can achieve a higher level of communication by presenting a series of photographs from different perspectives, different light or at different times.

This workshop is intended to help participants through the process of designing, planning and execution of the project plan, ultimately resulting in the presentation of the project.

The workshop consists of four evening sessions over a nine week period starting March 21. The time between the sessions will give participants time to develop the plan and begin photographing their project, with the intermediate sessions designed to provide feedback and guidance on the work in progress.
