Summer camp scholarship apps due

By Staff | Mar 22, 2013

The deadline is approaching for submitting applications for the Potomac Valley Audubon Society’s 2013 summer camp scholarship program. All applications must be post-marked by April 5, so those who wish to apply should be sure to do so soon.

Each year, the program helps send deserving area youngsters to summer camps that emphasize conservation and the environment.

Scholarships are available not only for the Society’s own day camps in Berkeley and Jefferson counties but also for camps operated by other organizations at other locations in West Virginia and as far away as Maine.

Any youngster within the Society’s membership area (the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and Washington County, Maryland) is eligible to apply.

For more information and application forms go to the PVAS website at www.potomacaudubon.org or contact Kathryn Henry at 304-876-6681 or dhenry@myexcel.com
