AHA Launches Artomatic@Jefferson
Artomatic, the destination art event that creates community, builds audience and expands economic development by transforming available space into a playground for artistic expression, is coming to Jefferson County. Join AHA’s first Artomatic@Jefferson Community Meeting on Thursday, April 18, 6 p.m. in room 112 of the Center for Contemporary Arts, 92 West Campus Drive, at Shepherd University and learn how to participate.
AHA! is licensing the well-known D.C. art event and will produce Artomatic@Jefferson in October 2013 with original art exhibits and events that showcase creative work in visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, music, dance and film. The month-long feast of artistic endeavor is free and open to the public.
Artomatic events are socially organic and completely open-entry; there are no juries or curators. Artomatic@Jefferson will issue a call for artists in a few months. Emerging and established artists present their work side by side and have the chance to work with and learn from one another. Artists, organizations and visitors come together and illustrate the energy, vitality and strength of the arts and its impact in the community.
Produced by and under the auspices of AHA! and in partnership with the Jefferson County Development Authority, the Chamber of Commerce, the Jefferson County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Contemporary American Theater Festival at Shepherd University, Artomatic@Jefferson is a destination art event unlike any West Virginia has seen before. Everyone can be a part of it.
The public, artists, potential sponsors and vendors and the media are invited to join April 18 to learn more about how to be involved in this arts extravaganza.
Artomatic@Jefferson is an independently organized and licensed Artomatic event. Artomatic is a registered trademark of Artomatic, Inc.
