Wildflower Festival welcomes photographer

Wildlife Photographer and author S. J. Brown will be part of the this years Wildflower Festival at Yankauer Preserve on April 6. During this family friendly event, Brown will be sharing stories of her encounters with wildlife. Images from her travels throughout the Eastern United States will be on display throughout the day. S. J. Brown will also be available to autograph copies of her latest book Close Ups and Close Encounters.

The Potomac Valley Audubon Society’s Wildflower Festival is held to coincide with the peak of the spring wildflower season. Visitors to the Festival are welcome to wander the trails on their own or take one of the guided tours that leaves the pavilion on the hour. For the sixth year in a row, poems that focus on spring will be posted along the preserves Kingfisher trail.

The festival runs from 11am to 4pm rain or shine. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
