Banks/Dunn united in marriage
Erica Jean Banks and Franklin William Dunn were united in marriage on July 28, 2012, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Brian Darrell. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Banks, of Shepherdstown. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dunn, Sr., of Ranson.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin ball gown with chapel length train and fingertip length veil trimmed with crystal rhinestones and pearl beading. The satin skirt was embellished by crystal rhinestones and pearl beads at the waistline with cascading chiffon ruffles on one side. She carried a bouquet of white and purple calla lilies, ornamental cabbages, and white roses with crystal rhinestones accenting throughout.
The maid of honor was Clarissa Banks, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mariah Norton and Tiffany Banks, cousins of the bride; and Whitney Menear and Rachel Hunger, friends of the bride. All wore clover green chiffon knee-length dresses and carried a bouquet similar to the bride’s. The flower girl was Maci Dunn, daughter of the groom, wore a soft white ball gown with cascading chiffon ruffles. She carried a basket of purple and green rose petals.
Best man was Donnie Dunn, Sr., father of the groom. Groomsmen were Justin Lopez, David Silveous, Jessie Kramer and Brandon Isenhart, all friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Jace Lopez, friend of the groom.
The mother of the bride wore a knee length slate dress with three-quarter length sleeve jacket and was escorted by Jeremy Banks, brother of the bride. The mother of the groom wore a bronze sleeveless floor length dress and was escorted by Daniel Dunn, brother of the groom. Rodney Snyder, cousin of the bride, sang “Home” by David Barnes, and also sang the Lord’s Prayer during the lighting of the Unity Candle. The pianist was Betty Miller, friend of the bride.
The wedding reception was held at The Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Shepherdstown, with buffet dinner and dancing. The rehearsal dinner for the wedding party was hosted by the groom’s parents at Paul’s Restaurant in Charles Town.
The bride is a 2008 graduate from West Virginia University, where she received her Doctorate of physical therapy degree. She is employed with Genesis Rehab Services and does contract work with Panhandle Home Heath, Inc. The groom is a 2004 graduate from Jefferson High School. He is employed with Loudoun Water.
After their honeymoon in Florida, the couple resides in Ranson.
