‘Honus and Me’ on stage at CT Opera House
Honus and Me, A wonderful new comedy by Steven Dietz, tells the story of young Joey Stoshack, who finds himself face-to-face with baseball legend Honus Wagner after finding Wagner’s coveted 1909 baseball card, the most expensive baseball card of all time, while cleaning his neighbor’s attic. Together they travel back in time — into the seventh game of the World Series — where Honus helps Joey boost his self-esteem and gain a new sense of confidence to face life head-on.
The cast for this family-friendly comedy includes Zachary Little, Jennifer George, Homer Speaker, Martha Louden, Jack Brennan, John-Michael Rolnick, Robert Allen, Jeff Marcum, Ed Conn and Bruce Olson.
Show dates and times are: April 26, 27, 28, and May 3, 4, 5; 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings and 2:30 p.m. Sunday matinees. Adult tickets are$19 for Friday and Saturday evenings and $17 for Sunday matinees. Student tickets are $10 for all performances.
