Student essayists from Shepherdstown Middle School participated in a book signing at Four Seasons Books in Shepherdstown on April 14. The newly released book, Climate Controversy 2013, was compiled by local author Dr. Pamela Ellis of Books Motivate Foundation and includes commentary by climate scientists John P. Abraham, Associate Professor, University of St. Thomas, Michael C. MacCracken, Chief Scientist, Climate Institute in Washington, D.C. and George M. Woodwell, founder, Director Emeritus of the Wood Hole Research Center. The book is available for purchase for $24.99 and proceeds will benefit the Natural Resource Defense Council.

Dr. Ellis also discussed Climate Controversy 2013 and her organization during a presentation at the Shepherdstown Community Club monthly dinner meeting on April 16.
