The Potomac Valley Audubon Society will sponsor a Mountain Laurel walk at its Eidolon Nature Preserve in Morgan County on Saturday, May 18.

There will be no fee, and anyone with an interest is invited to attend. No pre-registration is required.

The walk will be led by the Preserve’s caretaker, Joe Gentile.

It will offer an opportunity to see the Preserve’s large and impressive stand of Mountain Laurel shrubs, which bloom spectacularly at this time of year.

Those who wish to join in should plan to arrive at the Preserve at 10 a.m.

Everyone should wear sturdy walking shoes or boots, dress appropriately for the prevailing weather and bring water and bug spray.
