Janet Marsceau recently announced the opening of ‘The Piano Room,’ in Shenandoah Junction, where she will offer piano instruction to those of all ages.

A 29-year piano instructor, Marsceau has taught students privately in her home. At the annual spring recital of her current students held May 19, Marsceau announced the official launching of ‘The Piano Room’ studio.

Marsceau shared that after attending a recent conference, she decided the time was right to expand her private lessons.

“It’s rewarding to see students come to me with no musical knowledge, and then see them progress to being able to make beautiful music,” Marsceau shared.

Several of her students recently participated in auditions at Shepherd University for the National Guild of Piano Teachers Participating guild students become members of the National Fraternity of Student Musicians for one year. They receive pins and a rating sheet/certificate after their auditions. Participating in the auditions were Brynn Graybill, Amy Porter, Toni Milbourne, Jessica Kinnaman and Elly McGillivray.
