Trio presents songs for life concert

By Staff | May 31, 2013

Twelve-year-old Evan Frank of Harpers Ferry wants to raise money to have 100 clean water wells drilled in South Africa. Steve Warner and The Rolling Coyotes want to help him with this mission by performing a benefit concert, Songs for Life, at The Opera House in Shepherdstown on Sunday, June 9 at 7 p.m.

Warner has written a song about Evan and his efforts called One Well at A Time. It will be performed in conjunction with a video about the Water for Life project that shows Evan’s commitment to raise money for the organization starting when he was only eight. He has now raised more than $30,000 by various means…baking brownies, door-to-door solicitation on Halloween, giving talks to various groups and doing odd jobs.

The Rolling Coyotes are local favorites, featuring Warner’s award-winning songs with a wide-range Americana themes. The trio includes Warner on guitar, mandolin and ukulele; Elliot Simon on piano and accordion; and Andy Mosholder on bass and cello.
