Filmmakers’ workshops on tap
Ryan Film Institute is hosting Teen Filmmakers’ Workshop courses for its seventh year, in areas of photography, filmmaking (introductory and advanced), documentaries and TV/web ads.
“We are so pleased that Shepherd University will be hosting our workshops again, in Room 202 of Knuitt Hall, for the comfort and convenience of students; and maximized learning facilities for teens interested in learning about the industry, both in the classroom and on location,” said Katherine Walsh Ryan, president and founder of Ryan Film Institute.
“Students will learn from instructors who are professionals in the fields of photography, video, television and filmmaking who offer their hands-on expertise with equipment, experience and links to professional and student projects,” she added.
Knutti Hall is located at the corners of High and King streets on Shepherd University’s campus.
Students who registered before April 15 or who register fro two or more workshops or with two or more friends realize savings for each workshop. Four teen filmmakers’ workshops will be offered: Shooting digital Photos, June 24-28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. $160/$185; Creating TV/Web Ads, July 8-12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., $210/$235; Introducing Short Films, July 15-19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., $260/$285; and Filmmaking & Documentaries, July 15-26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., $370/$395.
