Hospice of the Panhandle Seeks Volunteers
Hospice of the Panhandle is looking for those who are willing to give of their time to make a difference in the lives of others.
Volunteers can provide socialization, make veteran to veteran visits, give a much needed break to caregivers, share special talents, provide transportation and sit with dying patients. Summertime is the perfect opportunity for volunteers to help patients by cleaning and mowing yards, going on an outing to lunch or for a ride in the car, provide a friendly visit with a patient in their home or nursing home, make a meal or a cake or help with fundraisers. The possibilities are numerous.
Consider becoming a volunteer and help others in our community benefit from your time and support. New volunteer training is scheduled for Friday Aug. 9, 16 and 23 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the main office of Hospice of the Panhandle in Martinsburg. To find out more about volunteer opportunities or in attending one of the volunteer trainings please contact Tricia Lawrence, volunteer coordinator at 304-267-1870 ext. 211.
