Artists from Virginia, Maryland and the WV Eastern Panhandle are registering for the month-long celebration of the arts that includes exhibits, workshops, demonstrations, music, dance, theater, poetry and fiction readings, fashion shows, film, children’s and adult activities, and more in October 2013 at the “Rock & Tile” building just off the intersection of Rt. 340 and Marlow Road in Charles Town All Artomatic@Jefferson events will be open to the public free of charge.

Orientation and on-site space selection for registered artists is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 10, and Sunday, Aug. 11. Artists will be assigned an orientation time in a follow-up email after they register. Overflow or late site selection is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, and Wednesday, August 14, 5-7 p.m. Installation dates for all registered artists are: Wednesday, Sept. 11 – Sunday, Sept. 29, noon-10 p.m. Artists who sign up to participate on the Facilities Team will have an early look at the building.

Artomatic Inc. events are socially organic and completely open-entry; there are no juries or curators. Exhibit space is open to all artists at least 18 years old who exhibit original work, pay the $100 registration fee, attend orientation, abide by the rules and contribute 15 hours as a volunteer during the course of the event. Artomatic@Jefferson is managed and staffed by volunteers.
