Jefferson County Fair

By Staff | Aug 23, 2013

The Jefferson County Fair continues tonight with a variety of activities on the schedule. Visitors can traverse through the animal barns where they can see cows, goats, pigs, poultry of all sorts and rabbits, just to name some. The Timber Sports competition begins at the stage area at 7:30 p.m. while the show barn is set aside for a pig scramble and a tractor and truck pull will be held at the arena. Carnival rides are available as are all types of delicious fair food.

Saturday’s closing day of the fair offers the annual 4-H and FFA livestock auction at noon and an antique tractor parade in the afternoon hours. The tractor and truck pull continues Saturday evening.

There is still plenty of time to head out to the fairgrounds and enjoy part of the annual county fair tradition.
