Entrepreneur’s Forum Sept. 5

By Staff | Aug 30, 2013

At the Sept. 5 program of the Eastern Panhandle Entrepreneurs Forum, Kim Donahue, Economic Development Specialist with SBA in Charleston, will discuss general small business finance and resources and the federal perspective on small business growth-particularly government opportunities for the certified small business owner. Donahue will highlight small business certification programs that can help companies and organizations grow and succeed within the government contracting arena. The SBA works closely with the Federal Government-the largest single buyer of goods and services in the world- to ensure that small businesses obtain their fair share of government contracts and subcontracts. Ms. Donahue will also touch on the Affordable Care Act, previewing how small business owners can prepare for its eventual impact.

The event begins with networking, refreshments and a vendor display area at 5:30; program begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends with a Q&A session. For more information or to reserve a vendor table, contact Amy Ruth Allen, amy@jcda.net or 304-728-3255 or visit www.jcda.net. Ten vendor tables are available. With just a $5 fee they are an excellent and affordable vehicle for showcasing business, services and products.
