Fall Workshops at Jala Yoga

Jala Yoga at Mellow Moods Cafe and Juice Bar, 117 West German Street, announces its Fall workshops, both aimed for people interested in bringing more yoga into their lives. Registration for the workshops is available online at www.jalyogaflow.com.

Back by popular demand is Coredio Bootcamp with certified personal trainer Paula Barnes. This workshop runs on Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m. from Sept. 5 to Nov. 7. The cost is $125. Coredio Bootcamp will boost stamina, build strength, increase range of motion, and improve overall fitness. Barnes uses Functional Fitness combining core work with a cardio workout that will accelerate yoga practice and raise confidence.

Jala Yoga owner Christa Mastrangelo Joyce will teach Yoga for Athletes on Saturdays, 8:30-9:30 a.m. from Sept, 7-28. The cost is $36. To kick off the series, she will teach a free class on Thursday, Sept. 5, from 6-6:30 p.m. at Two Rivers Treads. In this workshop, participants will learn how to use body and breath for greater performance and endurance, as well as gain balance, strength and flexibility.

Also in September is an Open House for people interested in joining Jala Yoga’s next Yoga Teacher Training Session. The Open House is on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m.. The 2014Yoga Teacher Training will run from March-November, 2014. More information is available at www.jalayogaflow.com.
