The Hot Monkey’s big Chili Cook-off will be held Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Shepherdstown Train Station. Benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the event runs from 1 to 4 p.m.

Entry fee is $25 and entrants must provide their own crockpot, chafing dish or other appliance to keep chili warm. Set up begins at noon with the cook-off at 1 p.m. Tables, outlets and sampling cups will be provided. The winner will be determined by the number of votes received.
