EPOHOA providing workshop

The Eastern Panhandle Organization of Homeowners Associations (EPOHOA) will provide an educational workshop Sept. 14 at the Martinsburg Comfort Inn’s Opequon Room. The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a variety of sessions to provide information to homeowners regarding their associations, legal rights, roles and responsibilities.

The workshop is presented to all HOA members and homeowners with facilitators from Property Management People, Inc., AAMC, an accredited association management company by Community Association Institute.

The session topics include “Legal Foundation of HOAs and the Hierarchy of Governing Documents; Collections; HOA Organization, the Board, Committees, Management and their Roles; and HOA Finances – Creating a Budget. Each of these categories will be broken down into sub-categories to cover a broad range of topics, ideas, laws, and more.

Those who wish to attend are asked to RSVP no later than Sept. 10 to 304-728-2201. All are welcome to attend to seek information and guidance with issues pertaining to Homeowners Associations.

The EPOHOA now incorporates membership within eight counties: Berkeley, Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Mineral, Morgan and Pendelton.
