The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County will host a fall Rabies Clinic on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Tractor Supply in Charles Town from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dr. Mike Gallup, DVM of Blue Mountain Home Pet Care will be vaccinating dogs and cats over three months of age. All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in carriers. There will be a secure, enclosed area available to safely vaccinate cats. The vaccination cost is $10 for each pet. Bring prior shot records and owner identification for faster registration. A pet’s first vaccination is for one year. If a pet has been previously vaccinated, the vaccination is a three year vaccine.
