The Arts & Humanities Alliance of Jefferson County (AHA!) will offer another round of Teaching Arts Creatively (TAC) grants this fall. Board member Nelson Parkinson is chairing the TAC Committee and will oversee the award process.

The deadline for teachers in Jefferson County to submit the grant application is Nov. 15. Guidelines and application can be obtained directly from Mr. Parkinson, parkinsonnd@aol.com and soon from the AHA website, www.ahajc.org.

Priority will be given to grant applications that bring artists and musicians into the classroom to work with students, over and above requests for equipment. AHA! also strongly encourages applications from teachers who have not previously received a TAC grant. The committee will also take into consideration the number of students who benefit from the grant. The grant proposal should seek to address the WV State Content Standards and Objectives (CSO) policies for the discipline.
