Domestic Restaurant and local 4-H Club to host fundraiser for Camp Frame

By Staff | Oct 22, 2013

Camp Frame in Hedgesville has provided a fun and rewarding summer camping experience for hundreds of 4-H campers over the years. Campers have met new friends, renewed old friendships and celebrated the 4-H traditions of Council Circle, campfire songs, arts and crafts, hiking and swimming, and outdoor sports and games.

Now it’s time to give back to Camp Frame. The Domestic Restaurant at 117 East German Street in Shepherdstown and the Jefferson County-based Shenandoah Shamrocks 4-H Club are hosting a fundraiser for Camp Frame at Domestic on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. A share of the proceeds from all food and drink sales will be donated to Camp Frame to be used in maintaining the property and preparing for another camping season.

“Because of our dedication to fresh, local foods, 4-H is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts,” said Doug Vaira, owner of Domestic and its sister restaurant Dish in Charles Town. Domestic is now offering its new fall menu featuring delicious seasonal dishes.

All are encouraged to stop by Domestic on Oct. 20 and help make a positive difference in the life of a Camp Frame 4-H camper! Monetary donations also will be accepted for Camp Frame by the Shenandoah Shamrocks 4-H Club during the evening.
