FOSL’Ss Rock this weekend

The Friends of the Shepherdstown Library (FOSL) will hold “Old FOSLs Rock”S event, a fundraiser and celebration of several FOSL volunteers from years past.

The event will feature the organization first ever silent auction.

Being auctioned are items like the handcrafter locket (pictured); a fused glass dish signed by Kurt McVey, a famous pioneer; a session with hypnotist Michelle DeStefeno; A weekend at Alpine Lake Resort in Oakland, Md.; and a Sunday brunch for two at the Bavarian Inn, among other things.

Proceeds from he event benefit Shepherd Public Library programming. Tickets are available for sale and can be purchased at the library beforehand or at the door the night of the event. Cost is $25.

The event is one of a handful of fundraisers held by FOS, which include Left of the Bank and the annual Community Club Book Sale.

The event is being hosted from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shepherdstown Community Club (War Memorial Building) tonight, Friday, Nov. 8.
