Stephen and Debra Knipe of Martinsburg announced the engagement of their daughter, Rebekah LeeAnn, to Joshua Matthew von Gersdorff, son of Kevin von Gersdorff and Emor Gift, of Hedgesville.

Knipe is a 2010 graduate of Martinsburg High School and a current student at Shepherd University studying Family and Consumer Sciences. She is currently employed at Berkeley Medical Center as a Dietary Assistant. von Gersdorff is a 2008 graduate of Hedgesville High School. He is currently employed with US Cellular and pursuing a career in the military. An October 2014 wedding is planned.
