By Staff | Nov 18, 2013

Join the 11th annual Maintain Don’t Gain during the holidays. Visit a Jefferson County weigh-in site Nov. 17-27 to enroll and receive coupons for free visits to each of the fitness centers taking part in the program. WVU Extension Agent Judy Matlick will also be sending weekly newsletters to support and encourage the participants during the holidays. The program ends with weighing again after the New Year and culminates with a celebration party.

Weigh-in at one of the following sites during their business hours: Shepherd University Wellness Center; Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic in Ranson; Jefferson County Health Department; Jefferson County Community Center at Sam Michaels Park; Harpers Ferry Family Medicine Center; Gold’s Gym in Charles Town; Curves in Charles Town; or the Clarion Health Spa & Fitness Center.

This program is to help people not gain extra pounds during the holidays and emphasizes healthy eating and physical activity. It is sponsored by the WVU Jefferson County Extension Service and Healthier Jefferson County.
