Shenandoah Shamrocks 4-H Club Teams with Domestic Restaurant to Raise Money for Camp Frame
Families and friends of 4-H gathered at the Domestic Restaurant in Shepherdstown on Sunday evening, Oct. 20, to raise money for Camp Frame. 4-H supporters enjoyed Domestic’s delicious fall menu as well as a fun evening with friends.
Doug Vaira, owner of the Domestic and its sister restaurant Dish in Charles Town, donated a share of food and drink receipts to Hedgesville, WV-based Camp Frame. Mr. Vaira, a long-time supporter of 4-H, said “4-H is a wonderful program, and the opportunity for kids to attend Camp Frame is definitely something Domestic supports. We were happy to host this event.”
The Shenandoah Shamrocks 4-H Club is matching the Domestic donation for a total of $360 for Camp Frame. The funds will help Camp Frame maintain its facilities and prepare for next year’s 4-H camping season. Shenandoah Shamrocks 4-H Club President McKayla Dodson said, “Many 4-H members have wonderful memories from summers at Camp Frame. It’s a good feeling to give back to Camp Frame and help guarantee that more campers will be able to make their own 4-H camping memories.”
The Shenandoah Shamrocks 4-H Club thanks Mr. Vaira for his generosity and extends a big HOW HOW to everyone who participated in the fundraiser and supported Camp Frame! Next summer’s 4-H camping season will be a little brighter because of your 4-H spirit!
