Community offers thanks
The Shepherdstown Community Thanksgiving Service, sponsored by the Shepherdstown Ministerial Association, will be at the historic New Street United Methodist Church, 202 West New Street, and Sunday, Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. The service will include special music from the Shepherdstown Elementary Chorus, prayers and readings, and a time to offer thanks. A reception and time of fellowship will follow.
In response to Homeless & Hunger Awareness Week (Nov. 16-24) an offering of non-perishable goods and monetary gifts will benefit Caring Cupboard and Jefferson County Community Ministries. Caring Cupboards provides nutritional weekend meals for Shepherdstown school children. Jefferson County Community Ministries is a faith based ministry with a food pantry, clothing closet and other basic needs services for Jefferson County residents. Contact Rev.
