Jefferson County Parks & Recreation Needs Assessment Survey mailed
Jefferson County residents are asked to participate in a survey for the Jefferson County Parks & Recreation Commission. The Jefferson County Parks & Recreation is in the process of developing a Master Plan for the county park system. As part of this effort, a Needs Assessment survey has just been mailed to over 10,000 county households and should be arriving in mailboxes this week. Those households selected are asked to take a moment to respond and return it to JCPRC (postage-paid envelope enclosed). Not every household will receive the survey in the mail; however, there will be additional opportunities to provide input on the Master Plan/Needs Assessment. Several other mechanisms; including public meetings, electronic surveys and booths at local events will be offered in the coming months.
In order for the Jefferson County Parks & Recreation Commission to implement a Master Plan, the needs assessment is an important part of the planning process. Residents are encouraged to complete and return the survey by Dec. 15, 2013.
