The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County will be participating in the 2 p.m. Charles Town/Ranson Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 7. The theme is “A Military Christmas.”. The AWS walking unit will be comprised of dogs that have been adopted from shelters, rescue groups, AWS dogs that are in need of homes and former animals who have been adopted. Those with special dogs who would like to help represent the Animal Welfare Society in the parade, please call the number below to register or find AWS in the lineup. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Enjoy the parade from a new perspective. Those who don’t have a dog and would like to participate can walk a shelter dog or carry the banner.
