The Shepherdstown Community Club is sponsoring a month long Christmas Bazaar at the War Memorial Building (German and King streets). Admission is free. A pre-holiday preview will be held Dec. 7-8; Dec. 14-15 and Dec. 21-22. A selection of unique handcrafted items, by jury selected local and regional artisans, make for ideal holiday gifts, and allow one to support the Shepherdstown Community Club’s work in the community.

1 p.m.: Holiday Gifts: Lotion, Body Scrubs, and Bath Tea Class. Just in time for the holidays, join for this fun class where we’ll make lotions, natural body scrubs, and aromatherapy bath teas, which you can give to your friends and family! Learn to make hostess gifts, too! Each student will take home several homemade lotions, a 12 ounce body scrub and a gift set of bath teas. Cost: is $85. Jefferson County Parks and Recreation offer their annual Lunch with Santa beginning at 11 a.m. and going until 1 p.m. at the Jefferson County Community Center, Sam Michael’s Park. For $12 per child, participants will receive a picture with Santa, lunch from Chick-fil-A, a craft to complete on sight, games, movies and much more. Happiness, for keeps!” is the subject of an interactive (and free) workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. at Harmony Healing Arts Center. The workshop was designed and will be led by Shepherdstown acupunturist Michelle DeStefano, founder of Alchemic Life Strategies. Oakland Church in Charles Town, West Virginia, will be holding their annual Live Nativity Pageant at 7:30 p.m., with refreshments and an Open House afterward. This annual outdoor event is free and open to the community and everyone is urged to bring blankets. TUBACHRISTMAS will be held for the third year in a row at 1 p.m. on the steps of McMurran Hall at Shepherd University. Coordinated by Shepherd faculty members Dr. Kathleen Corpus and Dr. Keith Alexander and conducted by Dr. Erik Jones, director of choral and vocal activities at Shepherd, TUBACHRISTMAS is a public concert of Christmas carols where audience members listen to the tuba-euphonium choir.
