Happiness, for keeps
“Happiness, for keeps!” is the subject of an interactive (and free) workshop on Sunday, Dec. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Harmony Healing Arts Center. The workshop was designed and will be led by Shepherdstown acupunturist Michelle DeStefano, founder of Alchemic Life Strategies. For years, Michelle has offered a number of free workshops to the local community covering a wide-range of healing modalities. This latest offering is based on combining her years of research into how people can boost their ability to be happy.
Ms. DeStefano, also a certified hypnotist, explains that every one has a happiness “set point” – our own individual level of happiness (or set point) that we return to naturally. That point fluctuates all the time, and there are things we can do to shift it so we return to it more often than not. Through guided reflection, group hypnosis and brainstorming, workshop participants will learn the tools of cultivating happiness.
For more information or to reserve a spot in the workshop, please call Ms. DeStefano at 304-261-8077. Participants are asked to bring a journal or pen and paper and wear comfortable clothes. Although the workshop is free, donations are welcome but not necessary. Harmony Healing Arts Center is located at 211 E. New Street in Shepherdstown.
