A blended learning Driver / Operator – Pumper class will be offered by RESA 8 Public Service Training and the Blue Ridge Mt. Volunteer Fire Company. Prerequisites include Firefighter 1 and EVOC. Participants MUST be preregistered on the RESA 8 website no later than Jan. 24. Participants must attend the opening session on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 6:30 p.m. at the RESA 8 Office, 109 South College Street, Martinsburg. Students’ online accounts will be set up at registration night. Practical Skills will be taught Mar. 8, 9, 22 & 23. Donald Longerbeam is the instructor.

The course fee of $150 covers Tuition, Books, and Online Access. Anyone who preregisters and does not attend registration day will be billed for online access cost. This class is commonly called “DPO”. The class meets the requirements of NFPA 1002, 2003 edition.
