By Staff | Feb 28, 2014

Good Shepherd Caregivers 14th annual Potter’s Bowl will be held this Saturday, starting at 5 p.m. Included will be dozens of homemade soups from the community and donated from many local stores. Those attending will choose one bowl from hundreds of handcrafted pottery bowls, soup and have the option to take part in the silent auction.

For tickets, please call the office at 304-876-3325, stop in the office or just show up at the fire-hall.

According to Paula Marrone-Reese, executive director, “We are also in need a few volunteers to help at the event. If you are able to volunteer at the Potters Bowl, please contact Angie Hill at our office.”

Good Shepherd is also looking for donations for the silent auction. “If you can spare an item, or want to promote for a small business, please let us know,” Marrone-Reese said. Items can be taken at the office or bring to the fire station prior to the start of the event.

Proceeds from this annual event will sponsor those in need of help in the local community. The organization has given tens of thousands of dollars worth of volunteer support back to the community. Volunteers provide not only care giving services but transportation for those in need as well as other support.

“Without theses fundraisers, we could not offer the help that we have been giving for 24 years now,” Marrone-Reese stressed. “Please let us know if you can help,” she said.
