Adult/child autism workshop offered
A free public workshop on “How to include children and adults with autism in worship and other church activities” will be offered at the Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Washington St., Shepherdstown, Saturday, April 5 at 9:30 a.m.
The presentations will address the autism spectrum disorder. Presenters are: Reverend Richard Work, Avery United Methodist Church, Morgantown, and dad of a son with Asperger’s, Chris and Julia Barney, church members at “The Bridge” in Ranson and parents of a son and daughter with autism, Peggy Hovatter, Positive Behavior Support Trainer, WV Autism Training Center and aunt of an adult nephew with autism.
