Trinity announces events

The Trinity Thrift Shop will hold its annual end of season sale beginning March 13 and continuing through Saturday, March, 29. Shoppers will be able to fill paper grocery bags with clothing, shoes, and accessories for only $5 a bag. The thrift shop is located at 104 S. Church Street. Is open Thursday and Fridays 10 a.m to 4 p.m. And Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The thrift shop also announces that spring and summer items will be available for purchase beginning April 3.

In addition, all members of the Shepherdstown community are invited to join members of the Trinity family for the five evenings in Lent.

Beginning March 13, the series will run for five Thursdays though April 10. The overall topic for the series is Why Bad Things Happen to Good People.

Included discussions will focus on The Goodness of God (March 13), The Reality of Evil, (March. 20), Who are we as Human Beings?( March 27),How do Good and Evil Affect us? (April 3), and What can we Affirm? (April 10).

These will be open discussions in which all are encouraged to participate.

We will begin each Thursday evening with a soup-and-salad supper at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Trinity Church at the corner of Church and German streets.

The discussion will begin at 7 p.m. and will conclude with a short form of night prayers. Everyone is most welcome to join us for any and all of these evenings. For more information, please call 304-876-6990.
