Crenshaw pledges 10 months of service
Jared Crenshaw, of Shepherdstown, is one of many men and women pledging to perform ten months of national service as part of the Southern Region’s 20th Class of the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC), an AmeriCorps Program.
As a Corps Member, Crenshaw will spend 10 months working to strengthen communities and develop his leadership abilities. Crenshaw and his team will work on a variety of projects focusing on environmental conservation, infrastructure improvement, urban and rural development, energy conservation and disaster relief.
When asked how he first heard about NCCC, Crenshaw said he heard of it when he was in Job Corps and then had a few Corps Ambassadors came to his Job Corps Center. When he was in Job Corps he did carpentry.
